Make an important contribution as a safety officer with us

As a safety officer at Poseidon, you help spread calm in our neighborhoods during evenings and weekends, when our daytime staff has gone home. The work combines service, relationship building, and practical interventions in our properties and outdoor environments.

You patrol yards, stairwells, and basements, working according to our concept Complete, clean, and neat, which involves addressing minor defects, removing trash and flammable materials, and reporting issues that require follow-up. We work with fast tracks from discovery to action to create high service and safety for our tenants.

An important part of the role is to be a role model and relationship builder

Through presence in the area, safety walks, and collaboration with other actors, you and your colleagues in the Safety Group contribute to good relations with the residents. You always work together with other safety officers and with the support of a coordinating safety officer. Together, you are part of the solution for Poseidon's long-term goal of safe and pleasant living environments.

Most importantly, you and your team contribute to our major end goal: That Poseidon is not on the Police's list of particularly vulnerable areas in Gothenburg by 2030.

Fair and listening with clear boundaries

We are looking for someone with experience in crime prevention or safety work, social work, or trade professions – or someone studying, for example, sociology or criminology and wanting to develop in the field.

As a person, you are fair, reliable, and a good listener, with an ease for creating new contacts. You inspire trust while being clear and having the ability to set boundaries in a respectful manner. You have an understanding of different cultures and social structures and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Additional language skills are an asset, as is experience from the public sector, non-profit organizations, or collaboration with the police and municipality.

Teamwork on evenings and weekends

The positions are fixed-term part-time jobs with hourly pay. Working hours are scheduled from 15:00 to 23:00 on evenings and weekends according to a rolling 6-week schedule.
